Position Summary:

This position will support of a variety of Global Fan Insight functions, including the design, execution and analysis of custom research projects, the measurement around NBA Global Games' internationally, collating & summarization of desk research in international priority markets and providing key Fan insights to stakeholders. By working closely with the Global Fan Insight Senior Lead you will be helping develop and support NBA's growing global business.

Major Responsibility:

* Help support the Global Fan Insights team, especially the GFI Team Leader & Associate
* Work closely with key stakeholders around the business, including international
* Marketing teams Help support NBA's Youth Strategy including conducting primary research such as trackers and one off bespoke pieces
* Liaise with stakeholders and help develop ways to address key business needs including help guide & design what methodology would best to answer these questions
* Support the design, execution, analysis, interpretation and reporting of primary market research studies across a number of international markets
* Work with GFI Team Leader to create and deploy NBA International Fan Research Community
* Create surveys, script, analyze and create reports that draw out meaningful insights to help inform strategic decisions using Vision Critical & other research sources
* Help manage relationships with research agencies
* Visualize and story tell with data to articulate narratives around NBA fans
* Present insights to stakeholders across business units
* Distribute regular and ad hoc reports with actionable insights in response to requests for research using robust data sets
* Support the development of NBA fan insight materials by mining results of most recent comprehensive custom international research study
* Respond to requests from across NBA's global business, including requests about international NBA fan insights and data, based on data collected in most recent comprehensive custom international research study
* Management and development of the Brand Tracker - making sure it's being utilized to its full ability by helping key stakeholders
* Monitor international marketplace best practices to identify and develop insights with adaptations for NBA strategy, such as audience monetization, mobile behavior, sponsor effectiveness, etc.
* Represent & promote the need of Fan Insights in a growing global sport league
* Regularly look for ways to develop & grow Global Fan Insights practices with Team Leader, including suggestion new methodologies and tools to adopt
* Work collaboratively with other parts of the Research Team

Required Skills/Knowledge:

* A minimum of 2+ years of market research experience
* Experience conducting primary research projects both using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
* Experience using & analyzing syndicated research i.e. GWI, Simmons, Kantar, ComScore, Nielsen etc.
* General experience crosstab programs and/or software e.g. Telmar Experience using & managing Research Communities
* Experience scripting surveys using professional research tools - preferably Vision Critical experience
* Exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Experience conducting research & analyzing international consumer data
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience working with global stakeholders is a plus
* Ability to be flexible & adaptive is a must B2C/DTC consumer insights experience
* Proactive, thorough, intellectually curious, detail-oriented and highly organized
* Someone who is willing to be a team player
* A passion for understanding consumer behavior
* Strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to convert complex findings and large data sets into insightful and concise reports and presentations
* Storytelling ability using a range of data sources
* Excellent presentation skills
* Creative thinker
* Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to learn new tools quickly and often independently with minimal formal training
* Familiarity with advertising and media effectiveness measurement approaches
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills
* Digital marketing knowledge/experience is a plus
* Sports landscape knowledge is a plus
